There are many superb small and medium cheesemakers throughout the British Isles and Ireland. The Nation should be delighted… However because of the way many large retailers, foodservice suppliers and manufacturers operate – ”unable to deal with many small suppliers as don’t have the time” – the general public are unable to access this great range!

Bridgehead makes it easy for large organisations to work with small producers because we are passionate about great tasting food and believe that it should be available for everyone.

Bridgehead ensures that working with small / medium producers is not time consuming and can be easily managed. We provide a service to our customers by understanding their strategy and objectives and sourcing appropriate cheeses to fulfil those needs. It is this unique service to our customer that drives the growth for our suppliers.

By clearly understanding our customer needs
and our suppliers capabilities we are able to:
• inform suppliers of customers current focus to ensure
   cheeses are put forward at appropriate review stage
• host focused product selection days to ensure the right
   cheese format is taken forward ie, unit size, case size, case weight etc.

In addition Bridgehead Food Partners:
• manage administration of setting up new lines.
• set new lines up on UDEX system.
• liaise with technical teams and offer support where needed.
• inform suppliers of product performance.
• arrange logistics from central hub to customer.
• monitor and advise on stocking levels.
• hold regular forums to ensure producers are kept informed of progress, initiatives
   and opportunities.
